Q&A

Is there a fireworks show at Niagara Falls?

Yes, there are fireworks shows at Niagara Falls, but only on the Canadian side. From May to October, they run nightly at 10 PM (or 9 PM in September/October). The show lasts about 5 minutes and is free to watch from anywhere along the Niagara Parkway or from the Skylon Tower observation deck if you want a higher view. No, you don’t need a ticket for the fireworks themselves, but if you want dinner with a view, the Fallsview Casino or Table Rock Restaurant have pricey packages.

The US side doesn’t have its own fireworks, but you can see the Canadian show from across the river – it’s still a good view from Prospect Point or the Observation Tower. Just know the music is synced to the Canadian side, so you’ll hear it faintly or not at all. If you’re here in winter, forget it – no fireworks from November to April except for New Year’s Eve. Also, skip the “VIP” boat tours that claim a front-row seat; you’ll get soaked and the show is short enough to enjoy from land.
